Campus Stores, Mail and Receiving Office of Mail Services |
The Mailing Center is available to help your department process its mailings at the most economical rate, with the fastest possible service.
We work hard at finding the right equipment and services to help you get
the most for every postage dollar you spend. Most of our services have been
automated for faster turnarounds and lower production costs. There is an
extensive list of services available to you through the Mailing Center:
- The capability to fold single sheets up to 11" x 17" in size, and up to 5 multiple sheets of 20# paper, stapled in the center.
- The ability to insert up to six inserts into "side flap" envelopes up to 10" x 13" in size.
- The proficiency of directly applying computer generated addresses, or special messages onto material through an inkjetting process.
- The automated application of an adhesive seal to close your mail piece without the use of an envelope.
- A pack and wrap service which can prepare almost any size of materials for shipment.
- Upon request, we will come to your department to pick up materials and redistribute them to any local address.
- Our daily mail service provides you with pick-up and processing of all outgoing departmental mail requiring postage.
- Optical Character Reader Sorter can read mailing addresses, verify them with the Post Office address directory, and apply bar codes for faster delivery of domestic mail.
- We have the day-to-day information on special carrier service to find the best delivery and price using Federal Express, UPS, and others.
- When special needs require a non-automated process, the Mailing Center can process the job by hand.
- While processing your mail pieces, the Mailing Center can automatically apply live postage to your piece.
- We have the expertise to accept your mailing list in an electronic format, standardize the address by postal addressing standards and presort your job for the best postage discounts.
Our Customer Service Department is available to work with you in designing
your piece for the most economical class of mail and to be sure you realize all
the postage discounts available. We can often make design suggestions that result
in postage savings and reduced labor costs. Size and procedure suggestions often
enable the Mailing Center and the United States Postal Service to process your
piece on automated equipment, resulting in faster turnaround time and reduced costs.
