Q. Who may order through the UIUC Campus Computer Center?
Any University of Illinois Department with a valid University of Illinois account number may order through the Campus Computer Center. Faculty, staff, or students at the University of Illinois who meet eligibility requirements may purchase products through the Micro Order Center.Q. Where are you located and what are your hours?
The Campus Computer Center is part of the University of Illinois Administrative Services Department and is located in the North end of the Central Receiving Building (facing Kirby Ave and adjacent to the railway tracks). The street address is 1609 South Oak Street, Champaign. Counters are open Monday thru Friday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM, except during the lunch hour (12:00-1:00pm).Q. What repair services does the Campus Computer Center offer?
The Campus Computer Center repairs equipment for both UI Departments, students, faculty, and staff. This service includes both warranty and out of warranty repairs. Most Apple, DELL, and IBM equipment is repaired at the Campus Computer Center. HP laser printers are repaired at the Campus Computer Center, but the inkjet models must be sent to HP's repair center in Oregon. Many vendors require that defective equipment be returned through their RMA program before a replacement will be issued.Q. What paperwork do I need when requesting a repair?
For warranty work a departmental customer needs to supply the original Stores Requisition (SR) number on which the hardware was purchased. If you do not have that information, the GS billing number or the University property tag number will suffice. MOC customers need to provide a copy of the sales receipt, their NETID, or the full name of the person who made the purchase.Q. Does the Campus Computer Center offer a pickup/delivery service for repairs?For out-of-warranty items the departmental customer needs to suppy a valid U of I Account number on which the customer is authorized to charge. MOC customers may make payment for repairs on VISA, MasterCard, or by check.
The CampusComputer Center offers a FREE pickup/delivery service for UIUC departments and students living in residence halls. The pickup/delivery address must be within the general UIUC campus area. Check the Repair Pickup and Delivery Page.
